I'm Boycotting CD's

I think I might stop buying cd's. I haven't purchased much music lately anyhoo, but I'm really going to stop now. I'll still consider downloading music from free download sites like the live music archive, but with some thinking on my own, and some research, I'm betting that we're in for a music revolution within the next five years or so. There already exists a strong support for digital music (mp3 players, ipods, pay download sites, super high speed), music lovers may be in a new position to enjoy any music, any time, anywhere. I could theoretically be in my car, with my portable pc-like device with an mp3 player, access my home pc (that I use as a server to store all my music files), and stream that music directly to my player and through the head unit in my car. Or I could listen to any web radio station anywhere. What would companies like Sirius or XM do then? Whine and cry, kick and scream? Sounds feasible to me, though I am something of a technological dreamer. Anyways, I'll continue to stream radio and mp3's from the various free services until my dream of wide area secure wireless access is realized.
